Why teams look for an alternative
The reasons companies give for leaving Microsoft 365 cluster around three themes. Data location and sovereignty: the EU Data Boundary and regional tenants help, but the regions are still Microsoft's choice, US law still reaches a US company's data, and European public bodies in particular have concluded that is not enough; our sovereignty comparison covers the legal detail. Other alternatives, honestly
Google Workspace is the usual second choice and is excellent, with the same provider-chosen locations and an advertising company behind it.
