Multi-Region Redis Cluster on MassiveGRID PaaS
The Multi-Region Redis Cluster distributes Redis Cluster shards and replicas across two or more MassiveGRID regions, so a cache or session store keeps working if a region fails and applications in each region read from nearby nodes. The installer handles cross-region addressing, replica placement and verification.

What is Multi-Region Redis Cluster?
Applications deployed in several regions need their shared state, sessions, caches and counters, to be reachable and durable everywhere. Running one Redis in one region makes every other region slow and makes that region a single point of failure. This package spreads the cluster so that each shard's primary and replica live in different regions, and application servers can prefer replicas in their own region for reads.
It pairs naturally with the Multi-Region WordPress Cluster, the multi-region database packages and any geo-distributed application on MassiveGRID PaaS.
What the Multi-Region Redis Cluster Package Deploys
Marketplace packages are not bare container images. One click provisions a complete, production-shaped environment on MassiveGRID infrastructure.
- Shards across regions: Redis primaries distributed among the regions you select, each owning a share of the hash slots.
- Cross-region replicas: Each primary's replica placed in a different region so a regional outage never removes both copies of a slot range.
- Cluster configuration: Cross-region node addressing, slot assignment and failover settings applied by the installer.
- Per-region access: Connection details that let applications in each region prefer local nodes.
Why Teams Choose Multi-Region Redis Cluster
Regional fault tolerance
Losing a region promotes replicas elsewhere and the cluster keeps serving every slot.
Local reads
Cluster clients can read from replicas in the same region, cutting latency for cached content and sessions.
Shared state for multi-region apps
Sessions, rate limits and feature flags visible to application servers on every continent.
Standard Redis Cluster
No proprietary layer; any cluster-aware client works.

Who Runs Multi-Region Redis Cluster on PaaS
Multi-region web platforms
Shared sessions and caches for applications served from several MassiveGRID regions.
Global real-time features
Leaderboards, presence and counters that must be consistent for users worldwide.
Resilient caching layers
Caches that must survive a regional incident without a cold-start storm on the database.
Why Run Multi-Region Redis Cluster on MassiveGRID PaaS
Built for uptime. Multi-Region Redis Cluster runs on MassiveGRID's high-availability platform, where every environment is covered by a 100% uptime SLA. Nodes live on redundant hosts, storage is replicated, and failed containers are restarted or migrated automatically.
Pay for what you use. Billing is hourly and per cloudlet (128 MiB RAM plus 400 MHz CPU). Vertical auto-scaling adds and removes cloudlets as load changes, so a quiet Multi-Region Redis Cluster environment costs a few dollars a month and a busy one grows without a migration. Full details are on the PaaS page.
Your choice of jurisdiction. Deploy in New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore and keep data inside the region your users or regulators require. MassiveGRID is ISO 9001 certified and GDPR compliant, and has run hosting infrastructure since 2003.
No lock-in. The package is a standard Jelastic Packaging Standard (JPS) manifest. You keep root-level access to the containers, can export the manifest, and can move the workload to any other Jelastic-compatible platform or to your own servers at any time.
