What is Backup Storage?
Backups only count if they live somewhere else. This package provides that somewhere: a dedicated storage environment, separate from the applications it protects, with expandable disk and optional replication across nodes. It is the destination for the WordPress Backup/Restore and Database Backup/Restore add-ons, and can also receive backups from your own scripts over SFTP, NFS or rsync.
In standalone mode it is a single storage container, which is enough for most sites. In cluster mode it deploys a replicated GlusterFS volume so the backup store itself survives node failure. Either way, storage is billed per gigabyte per use and can be expanded from the dashboard as retention grows.
