Laravel on MassiveGRID PaaS

Laravel is the most popular PHP framework for building web applications and APIs, known for elegant syntax, a rich ecosystem and strong tooling. The MassiveGRID PaaS package deploys a Laravel-ready environment in one click: a tuned PHP application server, a database and a fresh Laravel project, so you can push your code and go live.

Both buttons open the MassiveGRID PaaS dashboard with Laravel pre-selected. The trial needs no credit card.

What is Laravel?

Laravel gives PHP developers routing, an ORM (Eloquent), migrations, queues, scheduled jobs, authentication, real-time broadcasting and a testing framework, plus first-party packages for billing, search and admin panels. Hosting it well means the right PHP version and extensions, Composer, a database, a queue worker and a scheduler running every minute.

The package sets that up: a PHP application server with the extensions Laravel needs, Composer, a MySQL or MariaDB database, a new Laravel skeleton with its environment file configured, and the document root pointed at the public directory. Connect a Git repository and the platform deploys on every push, while vertical auto-scaling follows traffic.

What the Laravel Package Deploys

Marketplace packages are not bare container images. One click provisions a complete, production-shaped environment on MassiveGRID infrastructure.

  • PHP application server: NGINX or Apache with PHP-FPM, OPcache and the extensions Laravel requires (mbstring, openssl, PDO, tokenizer, XML, ctype, JSON, bcmath).
  • MySQL or MariaDB database: A linked database with credentials written into the Laravel environment file.
  • Composer and Laravel skeleton: A fresh Laravel project installed via Composer with the application key generated and storage permissions set.
  • Built-in domain and SSL: HTTPS on a platform subdomain immediately; attach your own domain via Let's Encrypt.

Why Teams Choose Laravel

Ready for your code

Replace the skeleton with your repository via Git deploy; Composer install and migrations can run as post-deploy hooks.

Queues and scheduler

Run queue workers and the Laravel scheduler using the platform's process and cron tools, with Redis available as a queue driver.

Scale horizontally

Add a load balancer and more PHP nodes from the topology editor, with sessions and cache in a Redis cluster.

Modern PHP

Choose the PHP version from the dashboard to match the Laravel release you target.

How to Install Laravel on MassiveGRID PaaS

Installing the package takes three steps and a few minutes of waiting. No servers to provision, no configuration files to edit.

01

Open the installer

Click Install with free trial or Install to my account. The MassiveGRID PaaS dashboard opens with the Laravel package pre-selected, so nothing has to be copied or pasted.

02

Sign up or sign in

New to the platform? Sign up for the free 14-day trial, which needs no credit card. Existing customers sign in with their usual dashboard credentials.

03

Choose region and deploy

Name the environment, pick New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore, and confirm. The platform builds every Laravel node, wires them together and hands you the live URL and credentials.

Who Runs Laravel on PaaS

SaaS and web applications

Products built on Laravel that need production hosting with room to grow.

APIs for mobile and SPA front ends

Laravel back ends serving React, Vue or mobile clients over HTTPS.

Agencies and freelancers

One isolated, separately billed environment per client project, cloned from a base image.

Why Run Laravel on MassiveGRID PaaS

Built for uptime. Laravel runs on MassiveGRID's high-availability platform, where every environment is covered by a 100% uptime SLA. Nodes live on redundant hosts, storage is replicated, and failed containers are restarted or migrated automatically.

Pay for what you use. Billing is hourly and per cloudlet (128 MiB RAM plus 400 MHz CPU). Vertical auto-scaling adds and removes cloudlets as load changes, so a quiet Laravel environment costs a few dollars a month and a busy one grows without a migration. Full details are on the PaaS page.

Your choice of jurisdiction. Deploy in New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore and keep data inside the region your users or regulators require. MassiveGRID is ISO 9001 certified and GDPR compliant, and has run hosting infrastructure since 2003.

No lock-in. The package is a standard Jelastic Packaging Standard (JPS) manifest. You keep root-level access to the containers, can export the manifest, and can move the workload to any other Jelastic-compatible platform or to your own servers at any time.

Laravel Questions

Connect the environment to your Git repository from the dashboard's deployment manager. On each push the code is pulled, and you can add a hook to run composer install, migrations and cache commands. Environment variables are managed in the .env file or the dashboard.
Start a queue worker as a long-running process on the application node (Supervisor is available), or run Laravel Horizon with a Redis node. The scheduler is triggered by a one-minute cron entry, exactly as Laravel documents.
Yes. Replace the database node with PostgreSQL from the topology editor, or attach the PostgreSQL cluster, and change the database driver in the environment file.
There is no licence fee for the package. You pay only for the resources the Laravel environment consumes, billed hourly in cloudlets of 128 MiB RAM plus 400 MHz CPU. A single-node environment starts at $2.46 per month, or $0.003372 per hour, and clustered topologies cost more because they run more nodes. See the PaaS pricing page for details.
MassiveGRID PaaS runs in four regions: New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore. You pick the region in the installer, and every environment is covered by the 100% uptime SLA. Read more about our data centres and network.
Yes. New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Click Install with free trial above, sign up, and the installer opens with Laravel already selected. Trial environments can be scaled, tested and deleted freely, and they convert to pay-per-use billing only when you add a payment method.
