Load Alerts to Slack on MassiveGRID PaaS

Load Alerts to Slack connects the MassiveGRID PaaS alert system to a Slack channel, so CPU, memory, disk, network and I/O alerts for your environments appear where your team already works instead of only in email. It is a beta package that takes a Slack webhook URL and does the rest.

Both buttons open the MassiveGRID PaaS dashboard with Load Alerts to Slack pre-selected. The trial needs no credit card.

What is Load Alerts to Slack?

MassiveGRID PaaS monitors every node and can raise load alerts when resource usage crosses thresholds you define, for example RAM above 90% for five minutes or disk above 80%. By default those alerts arrive by email, which is easy to miss during an incident. Many teams coordinate in Slack and want alerts posted to a channel where they can be discussed and acted on.

This package installs a small integration that receives the platform's alert notifications and forwards them to Slack through an incoming webhook, formatted with the environment name, node, metric and value. It is marked beta by its maintainers but is simple and self-contained, and can be removed at any time.

What the Load Alerts to Slack Package Deploys

Marketplace packages are not bare container images. One click provisions a complete, production-shaped environment on MassiveGRID infrastructure.

  • Alert forwarder: A lightweight component that subscribes to load alerts for the selected environments.
  • Slack webhook configuration: You supply an incoming webhook URL for the channel; the installer stores it securely.
  • Formatted messages: Alerts posted with environment, node, metric, threshold and current value for quick triage.
  • Removable integration: Uninstall from the dashboard to stop forwarding at any time.

Why Teams Choose Load Alerts to Slack

Alerts where the team is

Resource alerts appear in Slack alongside deploy notifications and incident discussion.

Zero code

Paste a webhook URL; no scripts, cron jobs or API polling to maintain.

Uses existing thresholds

Works with the load alerts you already configure per node in the PaaS dashboard.

Complements auto-scaling

Know when environments hit their scaling ceilings so you can raise limits before users notice.

Why Run Load Alerts to Slack on MassiveGRID PaaS

Built for uptime. Load Alerts to Slack runs on MassiveGRID's high-availability platform, where every environment is covered by a 100% uptime SLA. Nodes live on redundant hosts, storage is replicated, and failed containers are restarted or migrated automatically.

Pay for what you use. Billing is hourly and per cloudlet (128 MiB RAM plus 400 MHz CPU). Vertical auto-scaling adds and removes cloudlets as load changes, so a quiet Load Alerts to Slack environment costs a few dollars a month and a busy one grows without a migration. Full details are on the PaaS page.

Your choice of jurisdiction. Deploy in New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore and keep data inside the region your users or regulators require. MassiveGRID is ISO 9001 certified and GDPR compliant, and has run hosting infrastructure since 2003.

No lock-in. The package is a standard Jelastic Packaging Standard (JPS) manifest. You keep root-level access to the containers, can export the manifest, and can move the workload to any other Jelastic-compatible platform or to your own servers at any time.

Load Alerts to Slack Questions

In Slack, create an app or use the Incoming Webhooks feature, choose the channel, and copy the generated webhook URL. Paste it into the package installer.
The load alerts you configure in the PaaS dashboard for CPU, RAM, disk, network and I/O per node or layer. Configure thresholds there and the forwarder relays whatever fires.
Not with this package directly, but both accept incoming webhooks with slightly different payloads. An n8n workflow can receive the platform's alert email or webhook and post to any chat tool.
There is no licence fee for the package. You pay only for the resources the Load Alerts to Slack environment consumes, billed hourly in cloudlets of 128 MiB RAM plus 400 MHz CPU. A single-node environment starts at $2.46 per month, or $0.003372 per hour, and clustered topologies cost more because they run more nodes. See the PaaS pricing page for details.
MassiveGRID PaaS runs in four regions: New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore. You pick the region in the installer, and every environment is covered by the 100% uptime SLA. Read more about our data centres and network.
