A MassiveGRID MT4 VPS is a Windows server from $2.87 per month in New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore, the cities where most MetaTrader 4 brokers keep their trade servers. Your terminals and Expert Advisors run around the clock on a Proxmox HA cluster with NVMe storage, a 100% uptime SLA and a 15-day money-back guarantee, and you connect from any PC, Mac or phone over Remote Desktop.
MetaTrader 4 only trades while the terminal is open and connected. An Expert Advisor on a laptop stops at every reboot, Wi-Fi drop and sleep timer; on a server next to your broker it never does.
The terminal stays logged in through the Asian, London and New York sessions. EAs that scale in overnight or trail stops through the open never miss a bar because the computer was off.
From a home connection an order travels through your ISP and across the internet to the broker. From a server in the same city it crosses a few metro hops. Fewer requotes, less slippage on stop and pending orders.
Every MT4 VPS runs on a Proxmox HA cluster. If a physical node fails the VM restarts on a healthy one within seconds, from storage replicated three times. No single point of failure.
MT4 is a 32-bit program, so each terminal uses modest memory. Budget 0.5 to 1 GB of RAM per terminal with a few charts and EAs, and add vCPUs for indicator-heavy templates.
Administrator access over RDP. Install the exact MT4 build your broker distributes, your custom indicators, trade copiers and VPN clients. Nothing is locked down.
Our 24/7 team, rated 9.5/10 by customers, helps you connect, install the terminal and get the first EA attached. Setup help is included in every plan.
One MetaTrader 4 terminal logs into one account, so a trader with three broker accounts runs three terminals, each installed in its own folder. A terminal with four or five charts and an EA or two typically settles at a few hundred megabytes of RAM; indicator-heavy templates, long chart histories and tick-level EAs push it towards 1 GB. CPU matters less than memory for live trading, because MT4 executes each chart's code on a single thread and spends most of its time waiting for ticks. These are the sizes we recommend as a starting point; every slider on the configurator below can be moved up later without reinstalling anything.
| Plan | Resources | MT4 terminals | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forex VPS 1 | 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB NVMe | 1 to 2 | One account, a few EAs, from $2.87/mo |
| Forex VPS 2 | 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB NVMe | 3 to 8 | Several accounts, trade copiers, indicator-heavy templates |
| Forex VPS 3 | 8 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB NVMe | 10 or more | Signal providers, fund managers, many client accounts |
| Forex VPS 4 | 12 vCPU, 32 GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe | 20 or more | Multi-strategy portfolios, institutional desks |
Two cases call for Forex VPS Pro, the tier with dedicated CPU cores and a Windows Server licence included: scalping EAs whose timing you cannot afford to have disturbed by a neighbour's backtest, and terminals that run news-trading logic where a stalled tick costs real money. Shared cores are fine for swing and trend systems; dedicated cores are for strategies measured in milliseconds. The dedicated versus shared guide explains the difference in detail.
MetaQuotes no longer distributes MetaTrader 4 from its own website, and the broker-branded installer is the only one that carries your broker's server list. Log into the VPS, open the broker's website in the server's browser, download their MT4 installer and run it. It installs and runs on Windows Server exactly as it does on Windows 10 or 11.
To run several accounts, install each terminal into its own folder (the installer lets you change the destination) or start a copied terminal with the /portable switch so it keeps its data next to the executable. Each terminal then has its own login, charts, EAs and logs, and a crash in one never touches the others.
Close the Remote Desktop window when you are done and the Windows session keeps running, terminals included. Choosing Sign out ends the session and closes MT4. The HA cluster can restart the server on another node after a hardware fault, so add a shortcut to each terminal to the Windows startup folder and tick "Keep personal settings and data at startup" in MT4 so every terminal comes back logged in after any reboot.
MT4 shows your broker's server time, not the VPS clock, so a server in New York works just as well for a broker whose charts are on GMT+2 or GMT+3. Leave the Windows time zone on UTC and let the terminal handle the rest.
Because the terminal runs on the server, a Mac user gets the full Windows MT4 with every indicator and EA through the Remote Desktop client, and the MT4 mobile app on a phone can watch the same account while the EAs on the server do the work. The step-by-step MT4 setup guide walks through the first connection with screenshots.

Broker locations come from each broker's own published server information, checked in October 2026: IC Markets, FP Markets, Axi and Global Prime name Equinix NY4, FxPro, Admirals, Darwinex and BlackBull name LD4 or LD5, and FXTM names Frankfurt. Brokers move servers, and some run different platforms or entities in different cities, so check the server name and ping in your platform before you order. Broker not listed? Ask our support team in chat and we will tell you which city to pick.
Pick a plan by how many terminals you will run, move the sliders if you need more, and choose the billing term that suits you. The price on every card updates as you go.
