Forex VPS Comparison

MassiveGRID vs FXVM

FXVM sells trading VPS plans in 16 cities from Manchester to Seoul and claims execution under 5 milliseconds; MassiveGRID Forex VPS covers four cities on a high-availability cluster from $2.87 per month. This page compares the two from FXVM's own site on 24 October 2026 and says which trader each one suits.

What each one gives a forex trader

FXVM's figures are from its own pricing and locations pages, checked on 24 October 2026; latency figures are each provider's own published claim, not our measurement. MassiveGRID is our product.

Where each one wins

A comparison written by one of the two providers is only useful if it says where the other is better. Here is where FXVM is.

01

Where FXVM wins

  • City coverage. 16 cities, including Tokyo, Mumbai, Sydney, Dubai, Seoul and Chicago, against our four. For a broker hosted in any of those, FXVM has a same-city server and we do not.
  • A cheap virtual desktop. FXVM's $15 Virtual Desktop product, in London, Amsterdam, Singapore and New York, is a light option for a trader who only wants a terminal window somewhere reliable.
  • More disk on the entry plan. 60 GB against our 32 GB, if you keep long tick histories.
02

Where MassiveGRID wins

  • Entry price. $2.87 per month against $25 list ($21.25 with FXVM's own discount code). Over a year that is the difference between a VPS that costs less than a lot of spread and one that costs a small account's monthly target.
  • RAM and storage class. 2 GB of RAM against 1.5 GB on the entry plan, which matters more than disk for MetaTrader, and NVMe replicated three times against SSD.
  • Uptime with failover. A 100% uptime SLA backed by a Proxmox HA cluster that restarts a failed server on another node. FXVM's pages, when we checked, stated no SLA and no failover mechanism.
  • Per-city latency and broker matching. Our figures are qualified per city and the broker matcher says which brokers publish each one; FXVM quotes one "under 5 ms" figure for every city.
  • Refund window. 15 days against 7.
03

Which to pick

  • Pick FXVM if your broker is hosted in Tokyo, Mumbai, Sydney, Dubai, Seoul, Chicago or another of its cities that we do not serve, or if you want the $15 virtual desktop.
  • Pick MassiveGRID if your broker publishes New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore, if the uptime guarantee and failover matter, or if you want the lowest entry price with a 15-day window to measure the ping.
  • Measure before you decide. Both refund windows cover a test; read the ping next to the server name in the MetaTrader login dialog from each candidate city. The locations guide covers the method.

MassiveGRID vs FXVM: common questions

No. FXVM's Lite VPS is $25 per month list, or $21.25 with the 15% code shown on its site, for 2 cores, 1.5 GB of RAM and 60 GB of SSD, checked on 24 October 2026; its $15 Virtual Desktop is a smaller 10 GB product in four cities. MassiveGRID Forex VPS 1 is $2.87 per month in New York, London and Frankfurt ($3.64 in Singapore) for 1 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of NVMe.
FXVM, with 16 cities at the time of writing against MassiveGRID's four. That matters only if your broker is hosted in one of the extra cities; most large retail brokers publish New York or London, which both cover. For Tokyo, Mumbai, Sydney, Dubai, Seoul or Chicago brokers, FXVM is in the same city and MassiveGRID is not.
FXVM says trades execute under 5 milliseconds, a single figure for every city. MassiveGRID publishes under 1 ms to brokers with infrastructure in New York, Frankfurt or Singapore and under 10 ms in London, and lists the brokers that publish each city. Both are best-case figures from the right city; the ping in your own terminal is the number that counts, and both refund windows let you check it.
