Traders search for a Tokyo forex VPS or a Hong Kong forex VPS for a good reason: a handful of brokers host there, and a server in the same city is the only way to be under a millisecond from them. MassiveGRID does not have a server in Tokyo or Hong Kong. Our nearest city is Singapore, which is a sound choice for a broker hosted in Singapore and a compromise for one hosted in Tokyo. Rather than pretend otherwise, this guide lists which brokers publish Tokyo or Hong Kong, explains when the Singapore compromise is fine and when it is not, and names the providers that do offer a Tokyo server, so you can make the right call for your account.

Broker server locations above come from each broker's own website or help centre, checked in October 2026 and listed with sources in our broker matcher. Brokers move servers and some host different platforms in different cities, so confirm the ping next to the server name in your own terminal before you order.

Most other large retail brokers, including IC Markets, FP Markets, Axi, FxPro and Admirals, publish New York or London rather than an Asian city. A trader in Tokyo or Hong Kong with one of those accounts is best served by the New York or London server, however far that is from home, because the trade server is there.

When Singapore is close enough, and when it is not

Singapore to Tokyo is one of the best-connected routes in Asia, but it is still a few thousand kilometres of cable and a round trip in the tens of milliseconds, not the sub-millisecond figure you get inside a city. Whether that matters depends on the strategy.

Measure rather than assume. Order the Singapore server, log in, and read the ping to your broker's server in the MetaTrader login dialog. If it is in the tens of milliseconds and your strategy can live with that, keep it; if not, the 15-day money-back guarantee covers the experiment.

Providers that do have a Tokyo server

Several trading-focused VPS providers list Tokyo, and some list Hong Kong. From their own pages, checked on 24 October 2026: ForexVPS.net names Tokyo and Hong Kong among 21 cities; FXVM names Tokyo and Hong Kong among 16; QuantVPS names Tokyo; TradingFXVPS lists Hong Kong and Tokyo in its footer; and Kamatera, a general cloud, has Tokyo and Hong Kong regions. Our fastest Forex VPS providers comparison sets out their plans, prices and refund terms side by side, with the same hedges: providers change their city lists, so confirm before ordering.

We would rather you buy the right server elsewhere than the wrong one from us. A trader whose Tokyo-hosted scalping EA needs single-digit latency should take one of those providers; a trader who comes back for a London or New York account later will find us there.

Hong Kong specifically

Hong Kong appears in broker lists mostly as a secondary hub: FXTM names it alongside Amsterdam and Frankfurt, Vantage behind London and New York, and Interactive Brokers serves its Asia region from there. For an account that actually lands on a Hong Kong server, the same logic applies as for Tokyo: Singapore is a few tens of milliseconds away and fine for slower strategies, a Hong Kong server from a provider that has one is right for fast ones. For an FXTM account, check whether you are on the Hong Kong or the European servers, because the European ones are under 1 ms from our Frankfurt server.

A practical decision path

  1. Find your broker's server city: its website or help centre, the table above, or the ping in your login dialog.
  2. If the city is New York, London, Frankfurt or Singapore, order that MassiveGRID server; the broker matcher sets it with one click.
  3. If the city is Tokyo or Hong Kong and your EA holds trades for hours, order Singapore and measure.
  4. If the city is Tokyo or Hong Kong and your EA trades in seconds, order a Tokyo or Hong Kong server from a provider that has one.
  5. Whatever you order, keep the terminal in its own folder per account, add it to Windows startup, and disconnect rather than sign out; the MT5 setup guide covers the details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does MassiveGRID have a Forex VPS in Tokyo or Hong Kong?

No. MassiveGRID's Forex VPS runs in New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore. Singapore is the nearest to both cities and is under 1 ms from brokers hosted in Singapore, but it is tens of milliseconds from a server in Tokyo or Hong Kong. For a slower strategy that is fine; for a scalping EA on a Tokyo broker, a provider with a Tokyo server is the better choice, and this guide names several.

Which brokers have servers in Tokyo?

From the brokers' own published information, Eightcap (Equinix TY3), OANDA's Japanese servers (Equinix TY4) and LMAX (a matching engine in TY3). Most other large retail brokers publish New York or London rather than Tokyo, so a Tokyo-based trader with an IC Markets, FP Markets or Axi account should order a server in New York, where those brokers' servers are.

Is a Singapore VPS good for Japanese yen pairs?

The currency pair does not decide the city; the broker's server does. USD/JPY traded on a broker hosted in New York is fastest from a New York server, and on a broker hosted in Singapore from a Singapore server. Singapore is a good base for traders across Asia-Pacific because it is under 1 ms from brokers with infrastructure there and the nearest of our cities for Remote Desktop from Japan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Australia.

Singapore Forex VPS, from $3.64 per month

Under 1 ms to brokers with infrastructure in Singapore, the nearest MassiveGRID city for traders in Japan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, on an HA cluster with a 100% uptime SLA and a 15-day money-back guarantee to measure the ping before you commit.
